Google Talk Labs Edition

Google Talks Labs edition is the experimental version of the next version of Google Talk. It has the same features as the older Google Talk , including instant messaging, emoticons, and group chat. Google Talk, Labs Edition also comes with new desktop notifications from Google Calendar, Orkut, and Gmail. However many features such as file transfer and voice chat are missing. It uses Webkit, the underlying technology of Firefox and Chrome to render parts of its interface. It is available for windows only and is not an offline installer. Another pitfall is that it has no option to alter network settings. So if you are behind proxies, you will not be able to use it. I recommended  you to use the older version till a better build is released.
