    Windows Skydrive

Windows Skydrive  is an online file backup service hosted by Microsoft. It is a HTTPS encrypted site and so you can be sure that there is no eavesdropping and be assured of privacy. You can either choose to share files to a particular user, groups or allow everyone in the internet to access it. You can also store them as personal files and not allow other users to modify it.Initially it was possible to upload 5 files at a time only. Now, however they have released an Active X control by which you can you can drag and drop files from any location on your computer to the Skydrive page directly. It is however not possible to upload folders directly. So, I guess you will have to create an archive and then upload it. Uploading is very quick and stable. On my 28 MBPS connection , it took about 10s  to upload 1 mb. It is possible for you to download public files from Skydrive even if you dont have a Windows Live Account. You can also embed the files to your blog or web page. The free version provides you 5 GB which is ample storage. You can also pay and extend you storage. Check out Skydrive here.
