Google will be launching their own browser named chrome on Tuesday , 2nd September. It is based on Webkit , the open source web development engine on which Apple’s Safari runs.Google has already released a “comic” describing the features and has also launched a blog regarding chrome. Many of the features have a weird resemblance to that of IE 8 beta 2 just like the sandbox approach for isolating tabs into separate processes, improvements to JavaScript,an “incognito” mode which is similar to the InPrivate mode in IE 8 beta 2. Several other features have also been mentioned in their “comic”. It will be open source akin to Mozilla Firefox. More information on chrome coming soon.
