    QuakeCon 2009

    image

If you're having fun with QUAKE LIVE, then have we got an event you need to check out - QuakeCon 2009. You've probably seen the ads on the site and some of you have probably even been before, but QuakeCon is a really fun event that id produces and helps organize every year - and registration for the 2009 BYOC opens tonight. Registration is not required to attend, but is required to reserve a spot in the BYOC.
If you're not familiar with QuakeCon, it is scheduled for Aug. 13-16 at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas, TX and includes North America's largest Bring-Your-Own-Computer LAN party (about 3,000 computers all hooked together for 0 ping gaming), big-money tournaments, parties, contests, a large exhibit floor where companies show off the latest games/hardware/gadgets, and a ton of other fun stuff to see and do.
What could be better, you ask? How about this - participating in QuakeCon will cost you exactly as much as you paid for QUAKE LIVE - that's right $0. It's totally free - no fees to play in the BYOC, check out exhibitors, play in the tournaments, win contests, etc. (and if you show up early the first morning, we'll even have a queue for you - just like QUAKE LIVE).
QUAKE LIVE will be the featured game this year in the BYOC, tournaments, and contests. If you're having fun playing QUAKE LIVE with your friends, QuakeCon is the perfect place to meet each other in person, make new friends and enjoy 72 straight hours of pure entertainment.
